If this is your first visit here, you might be wondering what is a Mighty Good Roadshow?
Mighty Good Roadshow is a combination of veteran singer-songwriter groups and their respective accompanists. The music features three West Virginian groups Clinton Collins & The Creekboys, Mark Spangler and The Minor Prophets and Doug and Shelley Harper.
After performing throughout the years on the same venues, and becoming great friends and supporting each others craft, we decided we had a chemistry that was worth repeating. Our music is alike enough and different enough to make up one mighty good show!
Together we perform a two act show, featuring two of the three songwriter groups. The third group serves as host for the evening and shares their music throughout the show. After a brief intermission, the fun starts over with a round including all three groups, followed by a finale song with all in. Expect an evening of ballads, comedy, upbeat wisdom, wit, charm and, oh yeah, some mighty good original music performed by the writers. The songs of these three groups reflects life and times in the Central Appalachian Region.
“Think of an astounding songwriter. Now think of three of them singing varying takes on similar themes and playing different styles of music all based in the Appalachian scene. Now make them the best of friends with a great onstage chemistry. Now take them on the road…”
Evan Olds – One of the Minor Prophets
